"Has many features and a high daily duty cycle...Because of this, it is not possible to scan more than one page using the flatbed (after scanning one page on the flatbed, the scanner / driver thinks that is all there is and sends the scan to the computer, creating a one page document...But to release a product like this with only BETA drivers and then not update them with better BETA drivers at some point, nor release a 'released' driver for 18 months (and counting) should give anyone tremendous pause..." read more »

"What makes the XP 220 special among small scanners is the Kofax Virtual ReScan (VRS) module that's integrated into the driver...I'd call the quality good enough for documenting something visual for business purposes, but not good enough to, say, scan a snapshot to print more copies...The issues that hurt portability are more problematical, but if you want a portable scanner with VRS, the XP 220 is the only game in town..." read more »
