Reviews for this Visioneer scanner (5 user reviews): "Somehow, though, the idea of a scanner doing the same thing seems like an exciting new trick, and it's the one feature in the Visioneer Strobe 500 ($399.99 direct) that's most likely to grab your attention...To set up the Strobe 500 for a desktop, you have to take it out of the dock to remove some packing materials and then reattach it, which leads to one of my few complaints about the scanner...I ran the Strobe 500 though our standard test suites for both desktop document scanners and portable scanners...As should be obvious if you've read this far, the Strobe 500 is easy to recommend..."

Reviews for this Visioneer scanner (4 user reviews): "Not all that long ago, the Visioneer Strobe 400 ($299.99 direct) would have stood out from the crowd...The competition today is tougher, however, and it makes the Strobe 400 less appealing that it once would have been...That said, if your scanning needs rarely go beyond a page or two, the Strobe 400's lighter weight may well make up for the lack of the ADF...However it loses points in the overall OCR score because it lacks an ADF...It hard to recommend the Strobe 400 without reservations, not because there's anything wrong with it, but because you can get the Canon P-150, complete with an ADF, for essentially the same price..."
Reviews for this Visioneer scanner (2 user reviews): "The compact size allows for easy packing...I did find a free downloadable version of the calibration sheet so that I could at least use the scanner for a while...it is lightweight and would be of great use for a real 'road-warrior......"
