We do not recommend you make puchasing decisions based on Forum messages...I have even tried it with a few games and its not so bad...It was replacing an aging CRT and it takes up far less desktop space and doesn't look too bad either...

I'm trying to find the AL1706Acer 17" but i'm not finding anything on it really...All i know is i've got a rather HIGH quality CRT 19" and my AL1951 Acer LCD litterly makes that monitor look like garbage...
Sadly not the same colours as the CRT...An opportunity to raise the resolution to 1280 x 1084 if required and compatible with rest of your setup...In correcting for this I found the monitors brightness control doesn't seem to do anything...
