Which DVD player to buy? Apex 1200? - Doom9's Forum

I heard somewhere on here that Apex makes a good inexpensive player...In canada I can pick up an Apex 1200 for $65 CDN, but down south I can get the apex 1500 or hgiher end models for almost the same price (but duties will kill me...will the apex 1200 play dvd-r or do they have problems...However, I can recommend the 1100W, which should still be easy to find...

VCD's work great, so I guess thats a good sign...Musta waited a good 15-20 minutes from someone from the home entertainment department to come by with a ladder so they could get the player off the shelf...I forget)years ago for ~$65US (which was a really good deal at the time) on a black friday sale at walmart...

I found a novel way to make the AD-1200 region free, as far...as I know no one else has reported this method yet for this...for apex AD1200 version 2.13 aa18 you must take off the eeprom memory that have tis information inside...if you broke the chip, don´t worry buy a 24C01A and use your creativity to soldering...

After that, I control what to watch with the tv/video button on my tv remote...I have the three prong cable also, yellow,white and red...I dont have the original cables that possibly came with it...
