I'd like to defend Scott (and OtterBox) a bit...So I'm not really trying to sway anyone away from buying one...The clear membrane over the screen does provide protection from drops and scratches as well as dust and dirt, it is just another layer of protection between your touch screen and the elements...

The packaging is nice , the way the box lifts off is a classy touch and i like that all the 'bits are in a bag', no complaints here...Very good , the Touch feels solid , all the buttons are of good quality and the screens surface feels very strong...The screens quality is good, its by NO means the best LCD i have seen on a portable device (i think it looks a little washed out...
