Though I heard many systems similar to this and they all still had their weaknesses, none of them had all the characteristics bad in all categories just like the Bose...The simple fact is quite a good quality sound comes from a very small and somewhat trtansparent product...The audible hole is so bad that the bass module is localized as if it was meant to be (subs should never reveal themselves...
