I mated it to an older Cambridge Soundworks DTT2500 5.1 speaker system which has been working fine on my old computer...I can faintly hear music playing when I attempt to play something but it sounds pretty bad...I ran the Soundblaster diagnostics and they passed fine...I am using the same dtt2500 speakers/audigy2 platinum ex and I am only able to get 5.1 sound if I use...

I've got the cambridge sound works dtt2500 digital (high end, 2 year old dolby digital computer speakers (with decoder) similar to the 2700 thats out now...Anyway, It's got a spdif (ac3) in (looks like a rca jack) a serial in (says digital in)and 2 stereo ins (one for rear speakers one for fronts...Nah, the only way you can get dolby digital is by the Toslink connection for xbox...I

I hate to cloud the waters, but check out the Boston Acoustics 4800s too...But I have heard a Klipsch sub...They are not as powerfull as Pro's, however they make up for it elsewhere...

I think for music they sound a little too midrange for my taste(although i've not tried to use them with anytype of EQ so i suspect that could help quite a bit) but overall I'm very happy with them...If you can live without those features I'm guessing the DTT2500 will drop in price quite a bit soon...Yeah, I just wish it sounded as good and had as much power as the Klipsch speakers...

i was looking at the Cambridge SoundWorks DeskTop Theater DTT2500 Digital at hifi.com for $299.99...If you want the absolute best speaker system on the market for the PC...Then the DTT2500's are your ticket...
