I am DSLR user and just bought the F30 as a pocket camera...It's a bit odd that the stand is the same size both in the originals and the crops, despite the fact that the F30 has 6mp, and 1D2 8mp (so the crop should be larger...The F30 crop looks pretty amazing for a P&S - other samples I have seen at 1600 show more loss of detail from noise reduction...

I own a Canon S70, S80, and the Fuji F30...Both Canon's are very noisy at ISO 200 or above, while the F30 is very usable at ISO 400, and more then decent at ISO 800...I bought the F30 for my husband--he sometmes needs the ability to shoot in low available light...I just found that I disliked shooting with a camera that small--which was the reason I considered...

I have been using Canon SLRs for donkeys years, and this is how I understand aperture priority...In my new Fuji F30 P&S, when I set the camera to Aperture Priority, and set the aperture to say f2.8, and allow the camera to set its own speed, it seems to get stuck at 1/4s even when the scene is very dark...Or there is an adjustment that I need to do on the F30...On many P&S...
