Some of the controls could be better, but overall, this camera is very user friendly and easy to work...In general even well lit videos come out poorly and considering the price of the camera you want something that can shoot good video which this does not...Essentially this is a really good unit, but it is susceptible to an extremely devastating single point failure...

So there haven't been much talk about the Canon FS100 as most people generally want the HF100, but I figured since the HF100 really wasn't in my budget to get the FS100 anyways...Really bad grainy video if the lighting is less than optimal...Regular photo pictures are only in one megapixel size and not good quality...Overall, I like the camera for what I'm probably...

Okay, i have a Canon FS100, and cannot import into imovie...I kept poking at it and solved the problem on my iMac...When I plugged the FS100 camera into the same extension cable, a folder "No Name" was mounted on the iMac...In frustration, I tried plugging the camera's USB cable into a USB port on the keyboard...

With the little one due for arrival in early July I'm due for getting myself a camcorder for those moments that may or may not be appreciated at the time but definitely will be later...So far I've found Canon FS100 and JVC Everio GZ-MG330...Unlike the JVC GZMG330, the new JVC GZMS100 is the closest JVC model to Canon FS100...

The advantage of the A710 is being able to take really good photos along with the video...On another forum, someone replaced their TX1 with a Canon FS100 and thinks the videos are as good as the TX1 and that there are other advantages...I realize the FS100 has a marginal still capability but I'm seriously considering it...
