Does anybody have any suggestions on how to best do this...The few manufacturers of skydiving mounts I've found cater to Sony cams exclusively (wonder why...It's not case busted and innards out, but it does have a cracked casing to the power switch and a busted tape drive...

The image is squeezed to 4:3 wether you like it or not...That's too bad, because is you decide to edit something other than content its a deinterlacing game with potential deinterlacing artifacts...Having played extensively with one, and read all about it, I can tell you the CMOS chip is 1920x1080i square pixels, but the video is then resampled into 1440x1080i non-square pixels...

every bit as good as the HV10 which is the best I've ever seen...Overall PQ is every bit as good as the HV10...

I went with Canon partly because I have a (approx) 4 year old Canon Powershot S400 camera that has always worked great and has lasted a long time and also partly because the price seemed good compared to other HD/DV camcorders...Hopefully this will be just as good in the future...Hey…I was searching for info on the Canon HV10 and found your site...I’ve got the...

And let's face it, you were left wanting to know more about some of the more arcane details of the HV10, weren't you...I bought an HV10 about 6 weeks ago...The automatic white balance doesn't do a good job in low light (flourescents go greenish and incandescent is often too red) but the manual white halance does work nicely, and in mixed light sources...
