I'm having a major problem with my home camera- a little Canon MV500i (PAL version of ZR40)- and was wondering if anyone could help...This morning I connected my camera up to my PC via Firewire, with the intent of capturing some footage...I'll be trying to get in contact with Canon this week, although I don't expect too much help, given that I have had the camera for 2 years...

I also tried the a 4-4 point male firewire cable on my husband's PC laptop last night, and still not picking up camcorder...I know that might be a "granny sucking eggs" type of question but it's a good place to start! The camera needs to be in "Play" (or "VCR") mode first and foremost...Laptop is a Macbook Intel OS 10.4.10...

A bag is a bag is a bag, not necessarily...It's a perfectly good little bag, but much too small for an SLR; it would be good for a digital compact if you wanted to carry some accessories as well...But it does its job wonderfully, now I have it I won't return it or replace it until the time comes when I need a bigger bag...

Note - for users with benchmark logs, if more then 1 benchmark is submitted under different settings, the best score of all settings will show...Camera is already plugged in, switched on, correctly detected by system and first video recorded...I would like to use this camera on my new Inspiron 9400 and I believe I need a new cable, but I have no idea if I need a Firewire 800 IEEE1394 9/6-pin or 9/4-pin...
