The difference between the Pro 9000 and Pro 9500 is a dye versus pigment thing, and should be thought of in those terms, not in terms of the number of inks...Meanwhile, the Pro 9500 remains vapourware, getting on for a year after it was first announced, so your current choice for A3 pigment printers is Epson R1800 (Ultrachrome Hi-Gloss ink set including gloss optimiser), Epson R2400 (Ultrachrome K3)...
