Powershot SD550 feedback? Good? Bad? [Archive] - Digital Camera Resource Page Forums
I owned the SD550 for about 8 months and just sold it in favor of a Panasonic FX-01...The SD550 is an excellent, very well-built camera and it can take stunning photos, but when I compared the shots from the SD550 and the FX-01, the FX-01 won hands down in the sense that every shot was sharper and with more detail - and no noise either...make sure u keep that SD550 in a...

this is sad.. my 2 year old canon SD550 kicked the but of the new SD800IS digicam....
As others have said, it looks like you have a bad copy - I initially thought the SD800 was focusing further back than the SD 500 (the rear window frame looks to be slightly more in focus) which is why the rest is perhaps blurry...Furthermore you haven't mentioned is the wide angle on the newer camera, you've even shot your two SD800 pictures taking advantage of the wider field of view compared...
