The specs look good and I think that it would be compatible with the flash I want...any comments or ideas would be great...Also I have been told that the ikelite DS-125 Strobe is a good one to go for but, would it be compatible with both of these cameras...They both have 12x optical zoom which sounds good...one is smaller then the other, but in the prices that I have seen the SD700 IS is 100$...

I think the COOLEST small camera is the Canon Powershot SD700-IS...I did a series of side-by-side tests to compare the SD700-IS and the SD900, just to see if I was still happy with my camera...I found that I could use the "Vivid Colors" setting in the SD900 to get the "snap" that he liked better in the SD700-IS...It costs $300, has good zoom range and...

The A-series and SD-series are aimed at different markets...The A710 is big enough that it won't slip into a shirt pocket the way the SD700 will...The A710 also goes to an equiv...I think I'd prefer the feel of the larger A710, but I really wanted a pocket-sized camera...

I am also considering one of the sony Cyber-shot's with Image Stabilization...The DSC-T30 does not look as good as the cannon...the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is better than the Sony Cyber-shot T30...for the Long Exposure Test it seems like Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is better than the Pentax Optio A10 or Sony Cyber-shot T30...

My quess is that the image is not blurred due to lack of IS functioning but that it looks mottled because the specified color range is too wide...it's on page 102 in the "Advanced Camera User Guide" under "Image contains noise...
