I received my dealer demo SX60 Saturday...Inside the foam padded carrying case lies the SX60...Well the blacks are way blacker than in the other modes and yes, the overall picture is lower in lumens too...Does this mean it has a "darn good internal scaler...

Not that the old Hitachi was bad but is was getting old and started to shift it's color towards the green, and so it began...The guys here at projector central and all it's readers really helped me finally decide on this wonderful LCOS Canon SX-60...I have digital cable and this pj is so good I had to rewire the entire house...

However if the new Sony does come in at about $5k street with longer lasting bulbs and perhaps more lumens - i.e...So lets do some of this complex high school fuzzy math again (of course this is all speculative based on the cost and features of the new Sony...At a scant 5 hours of viewing a day you are talking about a mere sixty days with noticeable lumen loss on a $10K unit with a $1K lamp that already...
