I purchased the ZR800 as an alternate camera to make some low budget DIY videos for a very narrow audience...Even still, the resulting video capture is very good...While not especially good in low/no light, with aux lighting it is fine...

Is this camcorder a descent enough camcorder - I am planning on using it for taping myself playing guitar, LAN parties I have with my friends, and make stupid videos with my friends...Does anybody have this camcorder that could recommend it to me...I assume that it will be at least as good as its predecessor the ZR500 which was rated as best camcorder<300$ of theyear 2006...
