There are a number of manual settings to play with too...This is especially important because there is no optical view finder...It was hard to tell what color it actually was online, since it is called blue but looks purple-ish in the photo...

i can't tell anything the new Z700 has that the Z850 doesn't, other than maybe about $50 cheaper...Why would they bring out the Z700...the only negative i've seen about the 850 is poor image quality in HQ mode, but apparently a firmware upgrade issued out in August fixes that...I'm about to buy a new camera, and i like the size and features of the Casios...
