The PIX would use up another IP and its default route would point to the 877...I would then configure the 3500 as layer 3, with a default route to the PIX...To remain secure you should place ACLs on the interfaces of the 877 to prevent unauthorised access...Also I can not ping any of the two addresses on my outside interface, one being the Pix and one being the f0 interface on the Router...

I am using a Cisco 870 series router and an Aironet 1100 series access point at home...The Cisco 877 allows up to four VLANs on his four-port managed switch, the Aironet 1121 allows up to sixteen VLANs...The only devices actually configured with VLANs are the AP and the OpenBSD boxand if you do plan to use the OpenBSD box, I dont readily see why you might need VLANs on...
