No reason to cut up your dash w/ a 75wst...The glovebox location might be good if I saw a picture of the install...its a handheld unit...You can mount the head unit on the dash panel in front of the passenger seat, and mount the electronic box behind the center stack on the floor, or more creatively, behind the left side of the glove box glovebox, both hidden away...

Don't know about autocom or FRS...The FRSet4 works great, but 75WXST had no range at all...

I can find no utility whatever in the Sound Tracker circuitry, but on the whole this is a good value and it works fine -- more than I need for my purposes...I tuned my antanna for the best SWR readings I could get, which were very good and in our last club run, I was the only person who could talk and receive from everyone in the group...Overall I am pleased with the performance of this radio once...
