I think it would be a mistake to 'upgrade' to it...i'd keep the fujitsu and wait for the next peak in notebook technology and spend your money on that...I upgrade my notebook once maybe every four years...

We have seen many computers in Raid 1 that give errors of a degraded raid or other errors and it can always be traced to a bad controller on the motherboard or a fault with the hard drive...RAID is such a bad idea for the average home computer user...Good luck and let us know how it goes...

It is also SILENT, no CPU whine and good battery life with the 9-cell...Status seemed fixed on 'pre-production' with estimated shipping date Sept 24th just like yours, but when I checked the status just now it said it was shipped today...After giving it a pretty good shakedown this past weekend, I'm pleased with the results...
