DELL DIMENSION 8400 SUPPORT & TROUBLESHOOTING
www.dslreports.com
A few days ago I was looking over a Dell Dimension 8400 for a client...or do you think it could have been a bad connection simply that once removed/reconnected took off corrosion or what not...I just cleaned my 8400 out a few days ago...

I have exactly the same thing on a Dell Dimension 8400, P4 3.4 GHz HT...The woman I talked to at least said dell now acknowledges the problem of 8400 systems with the geforce 6800 card...

So I purchased my Dell Dimension 8400 a while ago and decided to upgrade the video card to a GeForce 6800...I actually picked one up from eBay for under $9.00 + shipping so I’d recommend that route...

Dell 8400 computer is slow after 7 hours of trying to fix-advanced user...BUT IS VISTA ANY GOOD , DON'T KNOW...

So I ordered the 8400 with the 3.4Ghz and 1G 533mhz memory along with other goodi's...Old System - Amd 3200(liguid cooled), MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R motherboard, 1G of Corsair XMS512-3700 memory (X2), 9600 Ati pro Video, oh hell I had an awsome system OC'd to the max...No I can't overclock the 8400, but I new that from working with the Dell's at work...I spent good money...
