The 1500 and 1500 II are nice units...I've seen the models above the 1500, like the 1520, command a tiny more cash, and the 1800s and models like the 3xxx series get the serious bucks...But they are a good machine, and if one finds a working one at a yardsale or flea market, then I'd grab it...It's good to have a quality player...
the dvd drive in 1500 is not good and i want to change it with an other pc dvd drive...It didnt at first but after some fiddling we got to become real good friends...This will boot the Denon1500 and you will have it on region 1...
But if you are running a $1500 mixer on a club system, you deserve your shit to blow up...I own the denon1500 and its a fantastic mixer, ive used it for hours on end and hav never noticed any trouble with over heating...
Until now I was looking at the Denon 2805 or Yamaha 1500 with Paradigm speakers...However I couldn't compare all of these in the same room as no single dealer holds all of them and I don't find my auditive memory to be that good...
