Getting an all in one works out a lot cheaper than buying things separately, also it looks a lot better than having a load of separate devices everywhere, and of course it also saves a lot of space on your desk...I fancied getting a stylish ?one-box? unit, but had read many negative reviews of the sub £200 systems often seen ? I even found another DVD-2500 at the store and it worked fine on that one too...I already have the Sherwood Newcastle AVP-9080 so I bought the DVD-2500 instead of the other Denon offerings (which include DTS etc) so I really only need a player rather than a player/processor...The unit switches off after a period of non-use and that is good for the forgetful...
Not give them bad advice and then say their files are rubbish once the user follows the Denon suggestion...Some of these CD's I know were in bad shape because I have re-ripped some through EAC/LAME and have had to spend a good bit of time polishing the CD's to get them to read cleanly...Right now "bad" (for some value of bad, and depending on how you interpret the ID3 spec...
