my ej-160e (lennon) model with the (i think a p-100 p/u) has a black wire hanging loose, with the other end connected at the volume/tone pots...as for the other wires if it helps (all are connected fine) the braided wire goes from the pick-up to the pots...

THE OTHER DAY I TRIED THE EPHIPHONES JOHN LENNON EJ160 NICE GUITAR GOOD SOUND DID NOT TRY IT THROUGH A AMP THOUGH...I bought a cheap 300.00 Epiphone acoustic about 10 years ago and it plays and sounds as good as my older Gibsons did...Anyway, I tried one of those AJ's, not bad, not great, not what I was looking for...
