I ended up finding what I needed in a comparison of the Sheraton and this one, the JoePassEmperorII...I am very impressed with the quality Epiphone puts out in general...
They are typical, but nicely made, Epiphone...It only has 20 frets wich kinda sucks, but it has good clear pickups(Gibson USA), gold hardware, and an amazing finish...I wouldn't use a backup with it, because it is good quality...
I thought my ability to produce good tone was being limited by that instrument which to me is a good indication for the need to up your price range but i was no longer a beginner at the time...I already had some nice guitars so i didn't have the money to get a good archtop...They're great instruments but less accessible for a lot of good musicians...
