Nothing shinny except the clear pick guard just as it was meant to be...You just have to have to buy a good wide strap and locks and this baby will take care of you...They make great guitars, the Les Pauls are beautiful, the Slash Models are wonderful, and the Thunderbirds are loud and thumpy, but this thing KILLS!!!!! I still cant believe how good this is...
