Hum noise picked up from Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue - Boss GT Central Forums
That's why they are that expensive ($39 per 12ft...I discovered that when I placed the cable that goes between gt8 loop send jack and FBDR input jack (either jack #1 or #2) behind the FBD, I heard lots of hum noise picked up from the back of my FBDR, for my high-gain patch...If there is no difference, I will be returning 2 Rock cables and use my 2 standard cables...

As far a saturation or "power without the volume" you would need an amp attenuator...you won't need to spring for those 200 watt hot plates...
