I have a 12 and etrex and love it...First just to clarify I don?t believe you can download a map ?to? a 12 or etrex...One complaint I have and haven?t gotten round on the 12/etrex?s is there is no folders for way points, for example if you mark a bunch in on a certain lake, you have to search alphabetically to find them...

I am using Garmin 12 (actually I tried several w/ different versions of firmware just in case), Windows XP2, and a Dynex Serial to USB converter cable (from Best Buy) plugged into the factory Garmin serial cable...Like I said, everything works fine for me...
