I currently have a 182C hooked up to a 320C sounder and Icom M402 VHF...I came across a reasonably priced 3005C and was just wondering how much of an improvement it would be over the 182C if any...Also wondering if the anti-glare screen issue affects the 3005C the same as the 182C...

I have narrowed down my choices down to the Garmin 182C and the Standard Horizon CP150...The sales guy at West Marine says they are both good but Garmin sells more...and did you know west marine will macth online pricing i paid $832 just search online pricing i saved over $700 on a 182c, epirb, and a windlass just print out price and bring to store...

For good measure I have a Garmin 176 that I am very happy with and I gleefully understand their chart similarly pricing...The way Naviuoncs has meregd a numbewr of charts with diffewrent quality to obtain seamless impression is also not good...Fast processor + IP67 waterproof - Propritary charts - Charts not as good as C-map (accuracy and logic) - No outlet for external antenna...

Garmin GPS 182C and PWS - The Alaska Boating Forum...Posting to this forum is now disabled...I'm thinking about putting the GPS 182C in my boat for running around in PWS...
