Cannot pick up Air traffic controllers when close to edge of range without manually "squelching" the Garmin 430 in our Diamond Star DA40...We have a Garmin 430/530 stack in our aircraft...I don't know of any way to adjust the squelch sensitivity of the units...If all seems well with that and the unit seems to have abnormally low reception, I would refer the problem to Garmin...
