Anyone familiar with the new Guild GAD50...Now I've read loads of reviews praising the new GAD50 as a return by Guild to the quality of their 60's guitars...

As good as the Masterbilts are, I think the GAD 50 is the best of the Chinese dreadnaughts...I've been playing for 15 yrs (not a pro) and it's about good enuf for me...i just jammed with my yamaha and it sounds pretty damn good...

Composition wise, the GAD-50 (dreadnought) features a solid Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back, sides, fret board and bridge pins...Comparatively speaking, some will argue the GAD-50 gives lower end Gibson's a run for their money...The body feels durable, but it's lack of overall weight worries me...I own a GAD-50, It is a great second guitar that I would'nt...
