I never tried it on high resolution, although I want to be able to do a reasonable rough draft to find errors if any in a more economical mode...Sometimes there could be a slight misalignment when the cartridge was first installed...I looked up the specs and in B&W mode, resolution is 600x600 but in Color it is 1200x4800 or 4:1...
