i tried all usb ports, changed the cable etc...got a brand spankin' new HP D7460 printer, installed fine on my Vista lappy...no joy on XP/SP2...try another port on the computer and see if that works...

I found it easy to set up and use and know it is a quality product...This printer is an excellent example of what a printer should be, and at the same time can be so frustrating that you want to run over it...I found serious communication and disconnect problems with the HP software in wireless mode...

I am on the now network with sprint, I love my simply everything plan cuz it gives u unlimited data...Ahhh, this is a ridiculous deal...I hope the gadget provides at least a tiny reprieve...
