Please try using the scroll wheels on the remote and see if this corrects the problem...My wife just used the scroll wheels for the volume and channel and it started to work again as normal.I did change the batteries in the remote but this didn't seem to do anything...Honestly, it can be difficult to find even a halfway decent pair of in-ear headphones...

Hitachi 50VF or 50VG RPLCD - Digital Forum
I'm taking back my Samsung HLR5064 because I can't stand the rainbow effect, and I am looking at two options, the Hitachi 50V525 for $2500, or the 50VG825 for $2800...I have the 50VS810 which is last years version of the 50VG825...Chances are some people may have duds but the majority of owners don't have any problems...
