They are just as unreliable as the Kenwoods but offer better performance...This is the fault of THIS FORUM...I guess I'll start posting to wordpad, then pasting it in the postbox until they fix this forum's software...
Sith, I have a VR-309 as well (two years old), and the same problem surfaced about two months ago, it seems that "jarring" the 309 fixes it temporarilly...I found a permanent solution to this problem, I bought a Harmon Kardon AVR 525 from JohnnyG, and now I don't notice my Kenwood act up at all...And I paid 450 bucks for the 309 incl...
Does any one have any clues on this...Also make sure that the power is on manually before trying any other functions in Device Mode...Some of the higher-end receivers come with an RF remote that can work through walls but have a switch that allows them to use an IR remote...
I'm not very familiar with Kenwood, but wonder if the Kenwood signals use a toggle bit...so i trained the signal into the new remote, and, if i am on some other video source, the learned key takes me to vcr1, but if i am on vcr1 already, subsequent key presses do nothing...how do i get the remote to toggle like the original...
