the mrp aren't as good as the mrd series from alpine...a friend has the zx750.1 on two treo 10" TSX's, sounds awesome, but the amp gets insanely hot and shots off...

I'm more willing to look for a different amp than sub as the Havoc is exactly what I am looking for for my setup...I'm sold on the sub and on Kicker amps, though they don't seem to be the best match...Could running the 750.1 @ 1 ohm cause it to malfunction...

Ok so im about to buy a kicker zx750.1 from my friend...4-gauge power and ground leads with 80-amp fuse recommended ? wiring and hardware not included with amplifier...This is actually the same setup in box and subs i bought it for 150 at circuit city when they had the deal for buy one sub get one free...

you have your amp wired so it will produce max power, 750 watts @ 2-ohms like it stated on kicker's website, and will be beatin-down-the-block in no time...yes, the point is to maximize wattage, but with the ZX 750.1, it is designed to produce its MAXIMUM wattage of 750 watts at 2-ohms, which is the lowest impendance it can go to, and that comes straight from kicker's website...
