Go with the 2235 it's a much better buy ultimately...I have been selling many of the 2235's lately and have yet to see one come back with any problems(other than user error...Since you seem to know a lot about the 2235 can u help me wit this problem...

Mobile Phone Forums Kyocera: 2235 how to change faceplate
I bought a new faceplate for my 2235 but I cannot figure out how to get the original faceplate off without chewing up the plastic case...you void your warranty by changing faceplates, at least on the 2235, according to kyocera...Turn off the phone, remove the battery cover, and then the battery...That's all I've figured out because I havent been able to find a torque wrench...
