The only plus I can find is the quality analog tuner, it is the best I've seen...Forget every good thing I've written about this recorder, it has just earned its quick return...I've owned the Samsung SIRT451 and TB260F, the 451 was good, the 260 was better, the LG 787 is really poor...

On the positive side, I have to say that I am going to keep the unit because the good outweighs the bad in many ways...It?s so frustrating! Maybe the unit is just a lemon and others are okay but based on my personal experience I wouldn?t recommend this model to anyone...I ASKED THEM , HOW MANY TIMES HAVE SOMEONE CALL IN WITH TWO OF THE SAME MACHINES GOING BAD AT THE SAME TIME...

I recently got this LG DR787T, but I'm having some recording issues with it...Then, once you push "Stop" to end the recording, it never actually finishes the recording information...It can record, but freezes up after around 40 seconds...

Luckily in my area everything that's analog is also digital and most all newer programs are 16:9 HD...And some people wonder why DVD recorders have failed in the U.S...I have an LG 897T with basically the same problem...
