You can record something to its 160 Gig hard drive and when you go to burn the content to DVD it puts a very nice menu on the DVD and even shows a description of the recorded content...You can get it for $200-300 on EBay so I figured it might be an option...Personally, with Media Center PCs getting as cheap as they are these days, I'm not sure who would really want one of these things at $599...

I just got the LRM-519 yesterday...My initial impressions are that it's pretty good but no match for TiVo for recording programs for totally timeshifted viewing, which is TiVo's specialty...The LRM-519's most notable feature is its capability to support an external HD...Although some TiVo fans who post on these Forums and watch everything timeshifted don't...

I do not believe that the LG LRM-519 Media Recorder is currently supported under known devices in Sling Player...The LRM-519 is actually a killer-ap...This is an actual remote for the LG LRM-519 that I created based off files found at JP1 Remotes...

In fact there is only one Tivo device comparable, the Toshiba RS-TX60, and its a whole lot more than 600.00 (not that this is a good price...On the surface, the LRM-519 is a DVD-burner/DVR combo with a 160 GB hard drive (upgradable via two USB inputs) and the ability to record to almost every current DVD format (except DVD-ROM and -RAM, so nitpickers save your comments please...The difference...
