The open tray hack as near as I can tell doesn't work on the LG-797t...I have this unit and if I find one I'll post it...If anyone else knows of one I would GREATLY appreciate it OR a HDCP hack...

It is a good machine except for one flaw...very good product but it won't dubb from dvd to vhs...Tech support is very good about explaining it if you need them...

I am having the same issue with my RC797T, which is connected to my Ölevia 337H via HDMI...3 TV shows (which is what we watch 2/3s of the time) are stretched when the output resolution is set to 720p or 1080i...In the 797T?s menu system, ?TV Aspect? becomes unavailable when 720p or 1080i resolution is selected, so we cannot change the output from the RC797T...

waited long enough to run out of warranty period or and return...I was not in any hurry to do that so i did not connect it right away...but the laser fails sometimes right out the box or soon there after...
