I would recommend adding the camera just in case you need it in the future...Otherwise it looks like a good deal to me...

But more recently this question came up about the T400, W500 and W700 machines...Now that I have the ThinkPad W500 back from the TS2 team, I decided to run back through the install of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise x64 using the instructions I documented for the ThinkPad T400...Since the W500 I have doesnâ??t have the Verizon EVDO chip, I could not test the drivers but I wouldnâ??t...

The W500 should ship within 1 to 2 weeks, while the W700 isn't expected to head your way for a solid month...Dude I want that Thinkpad w500 dude i want that fucking laptop it freaken the beast next to the really big beast...

Apple is blowing out their old 15" MBPs for $1400 shipped (student store), and I can get a fully spec'd Lenovo W500 for about the same money (EPP discount promotion...Battery life should be around the same, the MBP has the LED backlighting while the W500 has newer lower power consumption GPUs and CPUs...
