I am considering the logitechharmony1000 for all my entertainment center needs, currently i have a lot of gear, a lot of equipment, and i want to streamline it to a single remote that anyone in my house can use...Well if your really looking for a Blu-Ray Movie Player, the PS3 is really not the option to go to save a few bucks...
Do you have any sites with a good detailed review of either...If you can get your hands on the Sony for less than $500 than you got a good deal IMO...I had pretty good impressions of the Logitech until I read the reviews on this site...
It's good, in that it simplifies the process for the average joe...While the 1000 isn't much of an improvement over the already stellar (and RF compatible) 880, it's still great for your aging parents who want a "WATCH TV" and "WATCH DVD" button...This isn't a knock on Logitech's fine efforts, but the 1000 leaves much to be desired...
The overall aesthetic of the unit is very appealing and states high quality...If you have already have an account with your system configured from another model Harmony it will seamlessly transfer over and program the 1000 for you...
