LOWRANCE LMS-522 SUPPORT & TROUBLESHOOTING

LMS-522) Wanted some opinions on the internal gps antenna or the external...Also, will the thru-hull transducer for my X135 work with the LMS-522...That gave me confidence to buy a LMS-522 with an internal antenna...

Going to use a RAM mount unless there is something better to use...One other point......A thing I like to do...0 Members and 1 Guest are viewing this topic...

I have the opportunity to purchase a very lightly used unit from a friend (I've fished in his boat and used this unit a little bit) at a GREAT price...I know the 527 uses the same GPS program as the 522, but why would the hand held refuse to zoom in further...

The Cabelas guy was helpful - he recommended the software upgrade and also said to slow the ping speed down which I will try next time I'm out...It is my experience that bad transducer placement problems would show up more at speed than sitting still - I have been in boats with poor transducer placement but even they read the bottom when anchored or going slow...Too many people with the same or similer...

Since I've owned my 522 I've had nothing but problems with the sonar...Does anyone else running a LMS-522 iGPS have the same problem...
