As far as I know, the 4250 use to have the SiRF III receiver...That's true, although I was trying to understand how the 4250 is different than the new units which use the Centrality chip...Magellan has about the worst web manager I have ever seen...I saw that after I made this post...

I've been deciding on a GPS for a while and I think I have decided to get the Magellan 4250...With the AAA service (I don't have it yet) do you plug the unit into your computer and login to AAAs website to activate or is there some kind of online feature on the gps that allows it to do it from your car...So the AAA service doesn't "talk" to AAA at all-- it just gives...

One thing I would recommend when setting up this unit...bluetooth) thoroughly enough to offer a strong opinion as of yet, but as far as its main purpose (actually getting you from point A to point B) I would stongly recommend this unit...The fact is, ALL GPS units are inaccurate sometimes, give bad directions sometimes, and are hit or miss with POI's...
