I think phillips makes the transport...Seems like a not bad unit , sound is pretty good on cd's ( doesn't like any burned on my cd burner but if burned on my dvd burner at 12x they don't skip at all ) But it has no remote...I saw one on evilbay for $100 but this is just a backup unit so I don't want to throw too much into it...
