This GPS is more for those who like to hack it to do other things and navigation as secondary due to low quality navigation system...This is after I've been playing with Mio C220s for a week...One plus thing about Mio C220s is it sure does have better hardware compare to nuvi 200c I played with...Especially if it is for your parents who aren't so good with electronic toys...

The C220 comes with the latest Tele Atlas map of the US (50 states) pre-installed on an SD card...A crystal-clear 3.5" touch screen, finger-sized buttons and new predictive keyboard make the C220 simple to use as well as easy to follow...Can't be sure if you can update to the 3.3 version, but the Mio website has lots of info and updater tools which may do the job...
