This should give you a VERY good idea of the difference between the 2 projectors, even though you will be looking at TV's...3000U is great for sdtv, and good color accuracy, bright and excellent hd...but falls short for installation flexability, limited zoom and lense shift, manual focus...Overall, I'd say if you can get used to the issues with DLP, then go with the Mitsubishi and save...
