The Optoma is certainly the budget king in 720p, but price difference between the 2 is fairly insignificant, particularly if you are a Premier Partner...We do not recommend you make puchasing decisions based on Forum messages...I'll have to look into it further, but right now we have good stock levels...

and overall the picture looks great...Any help or recommendations to reduce the pixlization would be greatly appreciated...On a side note, I have had the opportunity to compare the HD1000 to the Optoma HD72...

The Mitsubishi HD1000U has been recieving enormous praise for it's brightness, MSRP of $1000, and 720p 1280x720 native HD resolution...However numerous user reviews have suggested that the HD1000U may indeed have a rather poor ability to render deep blacks and contrast levels...One user in fact claimed that the contrast and blacks of the HD1000U could not match the superior ones of the Infocus...

Although I do have to say that standard def TV looks awful when blown up to 106...HD on the otherhand is just jaw dropping! I watch standard def programming on my 50...still looks like a$$ there too...The recommendations I've read for screen color are white screens for gaming and grey screens for movies, so get the color for which you do the most of...Mitsubishi HD1000u 720p Projector -...

Well I just got the New HD1000U from Mitsubishi...Handles colors pretty good but tends to over expose the whites sometimes...
