When I turn the power on the lamp turns on and off twice then the lamp indicator light goes from green to solid red and everything shuts down...I have a WD-52525 with the same problem...I did try a new lamp thinking that was the problem...

The guy that looked at my TV said it is the light engine, by the sound it was making before the red lamp light came on...My 4 yr old Mitsubishi WD-52525 did the exact same thing on Sunday night with no warning...I inititally thought it was the cable box and switched it out last night but to no avail...

I own a WD-52525 DLP Projection Televsion, which was purchased on 4/17/05...It appears that the problem stems from bad capacitors, either on the power board, format board, dm board, etc...you know that many of your TV's contain bad capacitors which likely lead to failures...So right now I have a non-working WD-52525 television set that failed because of an unfortunately...
