What are you looking at that you are expecting to be in 1080p...My 1080p hddvd's look and sound incredible...Some of the tv stations are 1080i...

I would think being able to open the Device Menu should always work since this is the only place where I can select the imput...I was told I had to go thru the NetCommand and set up my equipment again...Before I had to go to TV MENU to get to NetCommand, same symptoms as before NO POWER...

It also takes steps out of your setup...Bottom line, next time you are at a television store, find a 1080i or 720p tv and get right up to it...Not saying others like this Mits are bad by any means, though...
