The problem with pixel race is that the more you have, the finer and sharper the picture gets on one end, on the other you suffer from noise problems and bad light conditions...I checked the pictures of the D50/D70 and the D200 as well as the D2x...note that the D50 makes the better sharper shot, the D200 draws much softer and smooth and much closer to the film type photo...

I have a SB800 that I use along with a D70...Is it possible to directly connect the SB800 to the 5-pin Nikonos connector without using the TTL converter and without any problems...If you house the SB800 and use a five pin sync cord, you'll even get iTTL (as far as I can tell, I've not tried this...

I thought about that but here in Holland the D300 is going to retail for 1949 Euro's...Another point is that if you buy a D200, you buy a proved and reliable camera while with the D300 you never know how many bugs you will run into...Since the news of the coming D300, the prices of the D200 already plummet...But other than that I'm extremely happy with my D200...

I have a D200 on order and I am contemplating a wider angled lens than what I currently use (Sigma 15-30mm...I'm not completely sure of which Sigma lenses but i'm sure a D200 Firmware update will fix this issue in the near future...
